The Pound Sterling (GBP) has strengthened following a report from the UK Office for National Statistics (ONS) that September’s inflation exceeded expectations. This higher inflation could prompt the Bank of England (BoE) to consider further policy-tightening during its November monetary policy review.<\/span><\/p>\n

Rishi Sunak, the UK Prime Minister, might face questions on his commitment to reduce inflation to 5.5% by the end of the year due to the stubborn Consumer Price Index (CPI) figures.
